Mechanical Part 1: Fuselage Architecture & Space Truss Frame

Back to All Logs

The 3D-printed outer skin of METE acts strictly as an aerodynamic shell. All dynamic flight loads and high-G forces are absorbed by an internal Space Truss frame consisting of a 15x15x1000 mm square carbon fiber spine bolted to circular eSUN PLA+ HS bulkheads. To maintain the Center of Gravity (CG) within the 25% - 30% MAC stability envelope during 1.0 kg payload release or battery swaps, a lockable modular CG Rail System was integrated into the lower fuselage bay.
