Avionics & AI Part 3: Trigonometric Ray-Casting & Pitot-Supported Ballistic Drop

Back to All Logs

Target pixel coordinates (u, v) are projected into 3D world space using camera intrinsic matrix K, lens distortion factors, and real-time attitude logs via Trigonometric Ray-Casting. Pitot tube airspeed (V_a) and wind vectors (W) calibrate fall time t_fall and offset drop coordinates D_drop. Switching to Guided mode via pymavlink, the UAV actuates payload release servos at the computed release point and automatically resumes Auto mode.
