Aerodynamics Part 3: Control Surfaces & Tapered Aileron Geometry

A sharp tapered aileron geometry narrowing from 104 mm at the root to 46 mm at the wingtip was engineered. Reaching a 44% chord ratio at the wingtip provides immediate roll authority during tight search turns. The tapered area distribution reduces aerodynamic hinge torque load to 3.3 kg . cm, preventing servo overload.
